#SocialCafeVerri

Launched in January 2023 as a digital training initiative, it is a cultural hub inspired by the Enlightenment periodical 'Il Caffè', published from 1764 to 1766 by Pietro and Alessandro Verri: brothers and counts originally from Biassono (Monza and Brianza), as well as founders of the 'Accademia dei Pugni' in Milan, alongside other prominent figures of the Age of Enlightenment. #SocialCafeVerri aims to stimulate dialogue and critical reflection on current affairs using simple language and an entertainment program that alternates selected readings, video contributions, and guest speeches. It utilizes 'coffee breaks' to demonstrate how the history of the beverage is deeply intertwined with the creation of spaces for free discussion and thought.
#SocialCafeVerri can be hosted in indoor venues as well as outdoor gathering spots, encouraging interaction between the physical and digital spheres. Its official publication is the periodical 'Il Verro d'Oro,' whose 'issue zero' was published in January 2024.
